Our Governance Structure
UKPSA University maintains a governance structure designed to ensure academic integrity, institutional accountability, and continuous improvement. The Academic Board provides strategic oversight of all academic matters, while operational governance ensures effective delivery of programmes and services.
The Academic Board
The Academic Board is the principal academic authority within UKPSA University. It is responsible for:
- Approving new programmes and modifications to existing qualifications
- Setting and monitoring academic standards across all certification levels
- Reviewing assessment policies and evaluation methodology
- Ensuring compliance with IACC accreditation requirements
- Overseeing student outcomes and institutional performance
- Advising on strategic academic development and partnerships
Quality Assurance Cycle
UKPSA implements a structured annual quality assurance cycle encompassing programme review, stakeholder feedback, external benchmarking, and continuous improvement actions.
Programme Review
Annual evaluation of curriculum relevance, assessment outcomes, and graduate employment data.
Stakeholder Engagement
Systematic collection and analysis of feedback from students, employers, and partner institutions.
External Benchmarking
Alignment with IACC standards and comparison against international best practice in professional education.
Improvement Actions
Implementation of targeted improvements based on review findings, with progress tracked through subsequent cycles.
Governance Questions
The Academic Board comprises senior academic staff, the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Director of Research, and external advisers with expertise in professional education and quality assurance.
The Academic Board convenes quarterly, with additional meetings scheduled as needed to address urgent academic matters or programme approvals.
Students, graduates, employers, and partners can submit feedback through our institutional contact channels. All feedback is reviewed as part of the quality assurance cycle and reported to the Academic Board.
